Faithful In Every Season
This is my first gentle reminder post on Substack 🥳 If you’re familiar with my social media platforms on Instagram and TikTok, short, gentle reminders have been something I have been doing for a while now. From videos to stories to text reminders, I have reached Substack, where I get to share some thoughts and scriptures weekly with you.
When it comes to the Lord, one lesson I have learned is that if I truly seek Him, I will find Him. And this is what His Word tells us in Jeremiah 29:13: “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
I remember a season where I was desperate to experience God the way His Word says we can. I began to pray and ask Him to reveal Himself to me. Although I called God by many names, I couldn’t recall experiencing Him in all those ways, and I desired to know Him for who He is.
I called on God as my Father, and he intervened when I was seeking validation and attention from guys who were not looking for my best interest. It hurt, and it wasn’t what I wanted but what I needed to receive what He had in store for me later. As I redirected my focus on the Lord, He showed me that all the validation and affirmation I desired could be found in Him and our relationship.
I’m reminded of Proverbs 3:11-12:
My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline,
and do not resent his rebuke,
because the Lord disciplines those he loves,
as a father the son he delights in.
I called on Jesus to be my Rabbi, my Teacher after reading Matthew 11 and coming to verse 29: “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
As I continued to dive into His Word and prayer, the Holy Spirit would give me revelation and insight into what He was saying. God also taught me lessons through my life experiences and relationships. I began to take note of the many life lessons, joyful or painful because I learned they all serve a purpose for my growth and His glory.
I called on God as Provider, Jehovah Jireh, when I couldn’t pay for my university tuition. The deadline was approaching, and I continued to pray and believe that He would provide for my needs (Philippians 4:19). I received an email for a grant that was over the amount of money I needed! I remembered applying for grants but not receiving anything in the past, and now — without applying- look what the Lord has done! ☺️
These are a few examples of who I know God to be: My father, teacher, and provider. I want to point out that the experiences I shared above happened over time. God revealed Himself to me again and again with each new scenario and season of life. As I continued to seek Him through His Word, trust in His character and pray, I recognized His Presence and voice showing up for me.
Take a Moment
My prayer for you today is from 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 "May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The One who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.”
💛 A question to reflect on: In what area of your life have you seen God be faithful? Think about it and hold onto this experience. Choose to remember this experience when you struggle to see how God will show Himself faithful to you again.
📖 Scripture to hold onto: “Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you.” Psalm 9:10
Take a deep breath, rest in His truth, and keep going. You’re doing better than you think. 🤍

Knowing that the Lord knows my thoughts and desires gives me comfort! Sometimes I feel misunderstood or worry that I am difficult to understand. So, it gives me assurance and trust in the Lord's intentions with me since He cares enough to know every detail about me 💗
