Jesus Forever ✝️
This past week, I have been singing Jesus Forever by Red Worship, and it has been a beautiful reminder of how glorious and holy He is.
When God met Moses, He spoke to him through a burning bush, and Moses had to take off his sandals because the place where He was standing was holy ground.
When the Lord spoke to Moses, He told him He saw what was happening to His people (the Israelites) in Egypt, and He was sending Moses to Pharaoh to lead His people out of Egypt. Moses asked the Lord what he should say to the people when they asked for the Lord’s name, and this was His reply:
Exodus 3:14-15 [NLT]
14 God replied to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. Say this to the people of Israel: I AM has sent me to you.” 15 God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel: Yahweh, the God of your ancestors—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.
This is my eternal name, my name to remember for all generations.
= “I AM WHO I AM” or “I will be what I will be”; this is who God says He is. The name Yahweh is a personal name for the Lord in Hebrew. When translated to English, it means “LORD”.
Take this in: There is no other name that will outlive the name of the Lord. He is eternal! People, beauty, and worldly riches will fade, but that is why Scripture says, “The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the Word of our God stands forever” (Isaiah 40:8 NLT).
So, let the truth of His name, Yahweh—the eternal God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—anchor you. Let the song of your heart echo with the same power that called Moses into purpose: Jesus Forever.
Song on My Heart🎶
You reign You reign Jesus forever, You reign We bless Your name Jesus forever, Your Name
Take a Moment
📖 Scripture to hold onto: Hebrews 13:8 [NLT]
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
🙏🏽 Prayer: I thank You for who You are and continue to be, Lord. May You sit on the thrones of our hearts and lives, Jesus. I pray that Your Word would rest on our minds and renew us. Help us to honor You in the choices we make, thoughts we think and words we speak. You reign forever, and You deserve all the glory and praise. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
💭A question to reflect on: How can you remind yourself daily that Jesus is forever—unchanging, faithful, and full of enduring love?
