My Wants Cry Out
I just want someone to put in the effort.
Someone who doesn't quit on their dreams.
Someone who will never quit on me.
Someone who won't give up on me.
I need a dreamer so that my dreams won't scare or make them doubt.
I want someone to believe that my dreams can become less like dreams and more like my reality.
I want that caterpillar-to-butterfly type of love,
A beautiful type of love.
I want that seed to stem and then budding flower type of love,
A beautiful type of love.
A true love; genuine love and overflow of laughter.
Sunshine smiles, sunny day music, and hopeful romantic antics.
Fairytales and happy endings are just what they say they are.
Just what I want but not what I need.
I want someone to cry and emphasize my pain.
I want to be that someone who will comfort them in their shame.
Pray for them in the rain.
Hold the umbrella over their head so that they have one less drop of water fall down their face.
One less tear of pain.
One less tear filled with hate.
Hate for what they're going through,
Hate for how heavy it feels and how lonely it's been down this road called life.
Game of Life, one of my favourite games that we all have to play.
Except it's not just a game, it's our life.
I want to carry your pain.
Feel what you feel.
Hug your heart.
Hold your tears.
So I can truly understand what you're feeling.
So I can help you get through it.
Pray for you more specifically.
Cry out to God like I'm the one breaking,
I'm the one shaking,
I'm the one having trouble breathing.
As if my heart is quaking,
My stomach is churning…
And it is.
It's hurting for you.

We have been reading Isaiah together recently, and it’s been such a blessing to walk through this book, growing in our faith together. Starting in May, we will have fellowship after Bible study — a space for deep conversations, games and intentional community. We are also going to be reading the book of Ruth alongside Isaiah. We are excited for this next season! 🤍
